Opinion in a comment rather than in the answer: I think the usability of hover-opened popups on a map, where by definition your cursor wanders around a lot, is questionable. Do you really want your users to do pathfinding between markers to finally attain the one they want but always gets hidden behind popups whenever they try to move their cursor towards their target?

Instead of having the popup window show centered above the marker, I'd like it to popup to the right, with an arrow pointing into the marker. I've attached 2 screenshots. The anchor for the window is the center of the window, will I need to make a set width for the popup window? Or is their another way to anchor the window based on it's top left corner, or something like that?

Good question. I would also like an option where the popup appears to the left, right, above or beneath the marker - choosing the option which causes zero, or the least possible panning of the map. As I see for now there's possibility to move popup with offset.

This variable could be added or subtracted to the addX and addY depending on the direction. I have removed the 16px from the default icon as it's a false value. It could be moved to default icon's tooltipPadding value.

The fix looks right to me. Skip to content.
